The air up there! If you are unfamiliar with typical coffee farming altitudes, know that 2300 masl is waaaay up there. The cool temperatures lead to slow coffee cherry maturation, higher density, and - often - more acidity and sweetness in the cup. Basha Bekele is an extremely experienced producer and his coffees are often considered among the best in Ethiopia, year after year. Basha is a master of the natural process - the traditional process in Ethiopia - but this coffee has an intoxicating florality we typically see from washed coffees in this region.
Bottom Line: Fruity and floral, this is an excellent natural Ethiopian.
