  • Is this the best Uganda cup we've ever had? With the caveat that we do not carry a ton of Ugandan coffee, this one is at the top. Incredibly sweet and berry forward with a syrupy body, this coffee reminds us a bit of chocolate-covered berries.

Uganda is mostly known for Robusta production but Arabica now comprises about 20% of crop exports, including this beautiful natural process. This is a community lot from a collection of smallholders in the Rwenzori region. The coffee is separated by floatation and put onto drying tables. The coffee is then dried for 3-4 weeks. Once ready, the cherries are sent to Kampala for milling and export.
