  • Our cupping team rarely agrees but we're all on the same page this time: this coffee is awesome. Raspberry and orange complement cola and honey. The cup is sweet, lively, and juicy. And at this price point, not a bad value either!

Burundi is not typically mentioned as a top-tier coffee producing country but that may be changing. The landlocked nation has come a long way in processing - the results are in the cup! This one comes from the Masha Washing Station in Kayzanza. Small-holder farmers, reliant on coffee for a living, take their cherry to the washing station past cow-filled pastures. Cows are so ubiquitous, in fact, that a common greeting is "gira amasho" or "owner of cows."
